Here’s an interesting article about how a machine helps to ease the burning pain experienced by Fibromyalgia sufferers:
Burning pain is what chiropractor Carol McMakin of Portland, Ore., runs into when she treats her specialty, patients who have fibromyalgia from neck injuries. She uses a machine that puts current into their bodies in a regimen called Frequency Specific Microcurrent.
McMakin does not guarantee the procedure will work but she claims a large percentage of her specialty patients who have an average pain number of 7.4 on a scale of one to 10 get their pain down to 4 and below, a level where they can start functioning again.
