When I started my latest bout of PVCFS, the college doctor (who had to confirm I could no longer usefully continue the training course I'd started four months previously) proved to be knowledgeable, and told me that one form of this condition is cyclic in nature, reocurring every 15 years or so (+ or - a few years). This seemed to confirm my suspicions that the "mononucleosis" diagnosed in 1991 was the same thing, as was a "flu" in 1977, which, unusually, caused large gaps in my memory during the weeks that followed.

Could it be just a coincidence that 1977 is also the only year I took (how ironic) an anti-flu jab, or have others had the same experience?
